Solo Challenge Game 2 - Welcome To...

The next game I chose to play in my solo challenge was Welcome To Your Perfect Home. Designed by Benoit Turpin, and published by Blue Cocker Games. 2018

Welcome To Your Perfect Home is a flip and write game where a card is flipped from the top of a stack and placed next to it with the effect side up creating a combination House Number/Effect which is written on the players sheet.

In the multiplayer game there are 3 stacks that create 3 different combinations, and each player picks one and must write the house number in an empty house space on one of the three streets of their sheet. The numbers must be placed in ascending order from left to right in the street. A player's chosen combination allows them to perform an effect although its use is optional. Skilful placement of numbers, and the effective use of effects are key to winning the game.

In the solo game, instead of using stacks, the player draws 3 cards and chooses one house number and one effect, and discards the third unused card. The placement of numbers and the use of effects are the same as the multiplayer game.

I played two games and scored 70 pts in the first game, and 72pts in the second. Ok sores but certainly not the best I've done. (After the fact I realized that I was using a couple of the effects incorrectly which no doubt adversely affected my final score)

Over all a realty fun solo system. It maintains the flavour of the multi-player game, and presents interesting choices while selecting which 2 of the 3 drawn cards to play. Also takes no more than 15 minutes to play.

Will definitely play again.

(For more info about the game including the complete rules, reviews, and game play videos follow the game links on this page. They will take you to the Boardgamegeek.com page for the game)
